Just bought my first trailer - a 13' 1975 Scamp. So happy.  The challenge:  brake/signal light connector is about 8 inches to short to connect to my Subaru and provide extras for turns.  I bought a longer extension and I understand that it's simply a matter of rewiring the electrical going from trailer out.  Any words of caution and/or suggestions?
