I forgot to mention that the Teak Flooring came from Bed Bath and Beyond. Just $39.00 but don't forget your 20% discount coupon! Takes some trimming to fit, about 1/4 inch off each end to snugly fit. Stain the cut ends with wood stain to further protect the teak wood.
Thanks for the inspiration. I just installed one myself. I used the House of Teak product available at Amazon. To make it fit, I cut off one of the slats using a table saw.
Ha ha! After days of searching for one to fit I finally settled on Bed, Bath and Beyond to trim to fit. Thanks for the tip about staining the trimmed end. We just bought our Scamp ( well, after 8 mos of waiting:-) and are eager to hear about modifications. Thanks!
I love the teak, but there is maintenance required on teak. Used marine dri-dek tiles on current shower which are 12x12 interlocking and easy to cut and install. Gives an easier option if one prefers.
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of the bathroom floor on a 16' model Scamp. I am interested in doing something like this for our September 18 acquisition. I would like to have it ready for use when we pick up in MN.
Beyond a floor for the shower well, I wanted something to cover the well to make it easier to use the toilet. I made simple cover that I hope I'm referencing correctly with the following link.
The grooving in the teak adds a sleek touch.
Yes it does! We are goi go to love it. Nice elevation too for the potty!

I attached w 12 rubber feet (again from Amazon) to prevent slippage and to keep water away from the wood.

Ordered one of these: From Amazon for our 13'. Not inexpensive but good quality.
