No current plan to paint entire bottom since only the 2" side profile is visible where the insulation is along the main floor area that drops down. This was painted so you didn't see a pink strip as you approach the trailer. Not really concerned with UV degradation since it's under the trailer but will paint if we suspect an issue.
The only reason we took this on as a project is the trailer is used year round and it sees some pretty cold temps. The issue was not with the propane or electric heater being able to keep up but really more the issue of the very cold, uninsulated floor. This cuts down on the differential from your feet to your head which if too great can still be uncomfortable even if a thermostat somewhere in the middle is satisfied. Coupled with some Reflectix on the windows these trailers can be used comfortably into some very cold temperatures.
Does your 16 ft have the shower drain pump ? If so have you insulated around the pump ?
That is my biggest concern for camping in the winter time ....... As I just recently put a new pump on and am concerned about it freezing when in use in the colder temps .....Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .....
Thanks

It does have the shower drain pump (you can see it in the top of frame of the first picture) but it was not insulated. If the Scamp is used in very cold conditions we dump some RV antifreeze down the floor drain to protect the pump/trap and turn the pump on to fill the line to the gray tank. The shower would not be used.

Good luck if you take it on.
