Here is a 12 volt Air Conditioner that could be used in a Scamp.

I haven't looked into the energy requirements in detail yet, but, I would imagine you could operate this A/C unit with a 200 watt Solar panel (400 watts would be better) and a pair of 6 volt deep cycle batteries (again 4 batteries would be better).

You would also need to increase the capacity of your Converter for use while you are attached to shore power.
