With the door on my 2015 13" Scamp in the fully open position the inside of the door is not covered by the awing and exposed to the weather. It is nice to be able to have the door open on rainy days. I put two stick-on plastic hooks on the outside of the door and used a short piece of line to tie the door to the awing.
