Side lights

Hi all, the side lights on my 2014 13tft are both out--the front and the back.  The ones on the right side are working and so are all the other lights.  With both of them out on that one side, I think it could be a fuse, but what do you all think?  And if you do think it's a fuse any chance you could tell me where to find it??  I know there are some in the back on the left side and some in the front.  Any ideas will be appreciated!!  Thanks, Barb

Not a trailer fuse

Side lights and tail lights are all powered from the tow vehicle on pin #3. Try new lamps first or get out a meter or test light and check for voltage. On most RVs you can light the lights by jumpering pins 3 & 4 (ON THE RV) to each other. That's where dealers plug a flasher to flash lights at an RV show.My first guess would be bad lamps, second bad connection. (Don't forget the ground) Have you made any changes?

Please let us know what you find.

Especially if it was a bad connection, where the problem was. And that 7 pin jumper thing is only for that connector and not the 4 pin. Did you ever install brakes? If not, just ignore the jumper part.

Check side lights

Side light sockets are prone to corrosion. Often, just a tap on the lens will get it to turn on.  If not, pop off the cover and wiggle the bulb and/or the wires that are probably just wrapped around the connections.

corrosion

Corrosion can be prevented by using dielectric grease on the contacts.

Side Lights

Thanks so much for all the suggestions for the lights!!  I took off the light covers and took the bulbs out and put them back in and they worked, but I went up the road to the hardware store and bought some replacement bulbs just to have them.  You all are always so helpful!!
