We will be using both bedding areas in our 16'. I'm trying to find a mattress topper for the small side bed. I've measured the area to be 23"X79" and have had no luck finding a mattress/topper. I don't mind cutting one to size and I'd love a gel memory foam. The only ones I find are way too wide. Is there one that is a little closer to the 23" width? The length will not be a problem and I'm thinking at least 3" high. I hate wasting the leftover pieces. I have yet to sleep in the Scamp, so if there are no options other than to cut down a larger one, I will for a good night's sleep.

Side Bed on 16'
As the "big" bed in our 13' is a bit snug for the two of us, I sleep on the couch/bunk bed in front. I need a VERY soft bed. We cut 2" memory foam to fit the bed. I had a down-filled queen size mattress pad already, and folded it into thirds for the bunk bed--perfection! A bit pricey though, and it takes up a lot of storage space under the couch. The 2" foam was only around $40 from Kohls...I bet you could cut two pieces of it to fit and and have 4" total. The foam came in a little plastic duffel bag, and I was surprised to be able to stuff it back into it after use!

We found our topper on Amazon. We had to cut it down some, but it fits fine. Check out Amazon.

We have purchased foam from a furniture refinishing store, which has various thicknesses and kinds of foam (for furniture seats and backs), and in a wide range of sizes, from full "sheets" to smaller pieces.
Maybe, Diana, you could get a 2" about twice the width that you need ("full" is usually 52" wide), cut that in half, and have a *really* deep foam bed.
Has anyone figured a side extension for the 16 side bed? Even a few inches would help. Perhaps some sort of folding wooden pallet would do. Where to store? Any mods?
Thanks.
I have seen where others make the side dinette a long bench seat with a fold down back that slides out to extend the width. In a lot of these mods. the bath door is removed and a curtain is used for the bath door. I think either Scamp or Casita may offer it as an unadvertised option.
