I have the lights working well enough I'm not afraid to go out on the road. The main issue was my convertor on the TV. Once that was squared away, I cleaned up some ground connections, cleaned the lenses and reflectors, and we were OK. Sort of.
I will have a future project to changeover to LED running lights. Is that a matter of changing bulbs, or do I need to replace the fixtures?
I have changed our Scamp over to LED running lights by just changing the bulbs. I ordered the replacement LED bulbs from Amazon. The web sites that sell LEDs will have the cross over information you will need. On our Scamp the marker light bulbs were #194 and the stop/tail bulbs were #2057. I replaced the #194s with "194 LED Light bulb. Yorkim 6th generation, non-polarity, 12V lights for 168, 2825, T10 5-SMD LED Bulb". The #2057s were replaced by "New generation LUYED 2 X 800 Lumens Super Bright 1157 2835 33-smd White color 1157 2057 2357 7528 LED bulbs". I did not bother to change the back-up light bulbs. Also depending on your TV you may have to do something to the turn signal flasher system so it will work with the lower current flow. My 2006 Nissan Frontier handled the lessened load with no problem.
I'm not done with this topic and haven't bought anything yet, but what I've seen is that I can buy a brake/tail fixture for about $20.00, and a replacement bulb is $25.00 give or take. Seems to me like replacing the fixtures would be the way to go.
Yes, I found out that replacing the fixtures was not more expensive than replacing the bulbs.
One advantage with replacing the fixtures is that the LED fixtures are made up of multiple LEDs with their own lenses which makes them very bright. They are also sealed units which will probably outlast your Scamp.
Thanks for all your time, posts and help. It is really appreciated.
Doug

Thanks! Sounds like exactly what I need to know.
