I ordered a 13' standard Scamp, Layout 2 last January, and was notified today that they wanted to confirm my order so they could start production soon. Originally I was told it would be ready in late June, but it has now been moved up to late April, which is good news. I did make a couple of changes while on the phone with my sales person. I am replacing the Scamp toilet with the new dry flush toilet (Laveo) that is now available. I didn't want to deal with a black water tank, so I probably would never have used it. I would have used my Luggable Loo instead. They also now have a couple of new items for the 13' Scamp: A retractable, frame mounted step at the front door, and a grab bar inside the front door. I ordered both of those new options. I am looking forward to getting the new Scamp, and hope everyone who has one on order will get theirs ahead of schedule.

Scamp order update
More proof that Scamp listens to the owners. They have made many changes in the past couple of years. Most are changes that the owners were making after purchase. I added my own grab handle inside the door and use it every time I get in. Do you have a picture of how they do the handle? My 2017 has the frame mounted step and it is very helpful if you get an uneven camp site, or as in my case you put in a lift kit. Enjoy.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
i hope that retractable frame mounted step becomes available for sale. i lug around a big heavy wooden step that was handcrafted. something permanent would be great!

My salesman told me the step has been available on the larger trailers, but they recently decided to offer it as an option on the 13' models.
Not all camp sites are level. But remember, they are welded to the frame. If you are buying from the parts department it may be worth asking if they can be bolted on.
yep i saw that, the welding is a no go for me, i don't have a welder.
