Time to Make Scamp Camp Far West (Pine Grove) Reservations
Scamp Owners International (SOI) is pleased to announce the fourth annual gathering of Scamp Camp Far West. We are non-discriminatory! ALL (I do mean ALL) molded fiberglass brands are welcome and encouraged to attend. Don’t let a bunch of Scampers scare you off.
The Event: Scamp Camp Far West
Dates: May 18-22, 2017
Location: Gold Country Campground Resort. Pine Grove, CA. That’s just up the hill from Jackson, CA on Highway 88. About 50 miles east of Sacramento.
We have reserved 29 sites.
Reservations can be made NOW. You need to call the campground directly to reserve a site (209-296-4650) and ask to reserve with the group of “Scamps”. When you call, be persistent, if you don’t get a real person, either call back later, or leave a contact number. They will return your call later in the day.
Office hours: Monday - Wednesday: 10:00 - 3:00
Thursday - Friday: 10:00 - 5:00
Saturday: 9:00 - 5:00
Sunday: 9:00 - 3:00
Sites will be $31.50/ night for full hookups. We are able to reserve only 29 sites. When the 29 sites have been reserved, there will be a waiting list. After you have made a reservation, please let me know by PM so we know you are coming. Last year we filled up fast. Don’t wait too long to make your reservation. I have included a map of the sites we have reserved. All sites are $31.50 regardless of color. You can access the campground website at: goldcountrycampground.com.

Our Scamp will not be available for PU until Sept, so Cheryl and I will try to get a cabin in the park. We live not far away in Santa Rosa and being recently retired are excited for this next chapter. Hope to meet many of you there.

My Scamp 16 won't be ready for pickup until July but Earl said its ok to come visit for a day trip on Saturday for the Nor Cal Roundup. So I'll see you all there. I will bring a big salad for the potluck and am looking forward to meeting Scamp owners from around the bay area. My plan is to drive out to Backus in July with a friend, and camp our way back home, especially in the Tetons. I am looking to get prepared for that adventure as best I can.
