Are you asking this because the marker lights are bad or do you just want to change them to LED? If the lights are good you should be able to just change the bulbs to LED. Many stores sell LED bulbs that will fit in the incandescent bulb sockets.
If the marker lights are bad my opinion is that you should use rivets not screws. The back end of the rivets are inside the rat fur. Using a screw, even a short one would result in a very sharp point inside your Scamp. Those points would be in the storage compartments. It isn"t like you would bump them often (ouch!) but they could snag the stuff you are storing. Rivet tools and rivets are fairly cheap so if you bought and used one you would have it for future jobs.
