My 1976 Scamp is missing the wrought iron poles. I'd love to have the original ones back in. Has anyone replaced them and would be willing to sell me the original wrought iron? Or does anyone know where I can buy them?
No, there is nothing there. It has been in a storage yard for many years it appears. I just bought it last week. Thanks for the link to the poles. Can I just put them in or do I need to fix the damage already done first? I just took off the top 3 cabinets yesterday, so it should be safe until I can get the poles, right? Their purpose is to support those cabinets specifically?
I'm sure they will sell you the original, just call them. The tree one is the new optional one.
The poles support the roof via the upper kitchen cabinets. If they've been removed for awhile and you have door misalignment then you may have to jack the roof up slightly when you are ready to reinstall the wrought iron supports.
I contacted Scamp and they no longer carry the originals. What a bummer! So, if anyone has the originals that they have removed, please contact me. I'd gladly purchase them and pay for shipping! Thanks.
I suggest putting this request out there on fiberglassrv.com and on the Facebook Scamp Travel Trailers group. I have read several posts from folks who happily removed their original poles to install the tree. You're bound to find someone who has them.
I was able to go see it,wow.it looked very nice how they did it all thanks for the link

Are there poles of some kind in their place? Those are structural to keep the roof from sagging so you need something put in soon.
Scamp trailers parts sells both the original and a new version
This is a mod I did on a previous 13 to modernize

On Scamp Trailer Parts, I only see a new support (shaped like a tree). I must be missing the original somewhere? Any advice?
