I love all the color! In the fall when I get my Scamp, I'm hoping to follow you and some of the others that have had fun decorating your Scamps. And as to color, I'm sure when I post pictures I will have people cringing. I had a friend give me four or five huge Hefty garbage bags of fabric a few years back and I plan on using a bunch of it for this project. Thanks to Gilda's advice and her kindness in providing measurements from her Scamp's curtains, I'm currently piecing together fabric (my friend's fabric is mainly those "fat blocks" that quilters use) for the curtains-- so ZaZa (my future trailer's name) is going to be a wild mass of colors when you step inside. All the happy peppy colors that are in the bags of fabric put together with no rhyme or reason. I also bought years and years ago a bunch of denim looking fabric and so I've decided to make slip covers from that -- I figure denim goes with anything so my riot of colors will go with denim as a cushion color.
Looking at what you and others are doing gives me so much pleasure -- just love seeing how each of us express ourselves and will enjoy or Scamps!
Hey, I have another favor. When you said the back of the seat covers are done with a drawstring, I think I'm imagining what that means but wondering if you could flip one over and post a photo so I'm sure? I've sewn since I was little so I'm not put off by the project, actually looking forward to it, but I've looked online and seen lots of ways people are covering RV cushions but no one has mentioned a drawstring. I'm wondering if your lady may have solved my problem -- if I could put in zippers, the people that do that then really struggle to get the cushions back into the snuggly fitted covers and the people that just kind of slip stitch the covers back onto the cushions then have to re-stitch that long seam on again anytime they launder them. I'm imagining that my granddaughter and her friends will come camping with me at times so with little ones I'm sure there will be spills, dirty feet, and all that stuff and I want that to happen and not be concerned because I know I can launder it all when I get home. So when I read your post I thought -- Wow, your drawstring might be just the trick.
And finally, I've got to say that is the cutest flooring! I love that!
Thanks so much for posting the extra pictures!!
Hoping your adventures are wonderful,

Sue you already have a name for your soon-to-be Scamp. I'm jealous. When I was picking mine up and we were touring the factory, Wayne shared a tip for getting the cushions back in the covers. (Although you would need to have zippers, so that may be one thing you're looking to avoid with slip covers.) The cushions have a sort of plastic bag over them and they use a shop vac to suck the air out of the bag which reduces the volume of the cushion itself. Once they are shrunk down they are easier to get into the cover.
Thanks, Sarah! One young woman on line really emphasized the difficulty so I was leery. I haven't done a zipper in years, but I know I can. I'll have to see which way to go after I get the Scamp. I am going to go there with premade curtains and sun blocking blinds but I will wait to have the actual cushions to decide on how I will do that. I would never have thought of the "sucking the air out" method!

Here you go Sue. Sorry the pics are not great, I had to keep cutting the size down to fit the format. The first pic is of the segmented dinette seatback. That one was a head-scratcher. Becky finally cut it at the joint, made slipcovers for both pieces, then attached velcro to rejoin them. The second is the back of the cushion.
Thanks so much! I love how she did this and the velcro idea is a huge plus! I knew I wouldn't attempt the cushions till I got them because measurements wouldn't be enough for me to figure some things out. Basically, I could see that bend in the cushions and didn't know how much fabric to add to the length so that it would bend but not have excess fabric. Now that I see how she did it, I may use her velcro idea, too.
The drawstring idea has another plus, also, because it's cutting down on the amount of fabric needed. Thanks, so much for taking the time to post. I really appreciate it!

Rhonda, That is wonderful! What's funny is that I have a turquoise tray similar to the one that's in one of the pictures. And I'm bringing along a multi-colored turquoise tray with me in the Scamp. So into all the colors and prettiness. Thanks for thinking of me and sharing this one!
