Oh but that same marine paint works great for the cabinets/benches etc. I also made a shower and used it for that as well.... i would do a light sand just to prep to be sure it sticks - maybe 220 grit. The Rustoleum line has a primer specifically for marine grade on fiberglass but I've done a few areas without the primer and haven't noticed any issues or differences.
