The standard Scamp dining table leg in our 2011 Fifth Wheel was easy to fold up to make a dinette bed for grandchild, but bloody impossible to put down to make a table leg again.  Solution was to replace the leg with Folding Table Leg .  Pics here.  The new leg is angled instead of 90 degrees vertical but extends and folds back so easy there are no more words a grandchild shouldn't hear.
