Thanks for that picture acOgv. I like the look of the second set of lights. Worth the extra $95.00. We are having the bike rack installed and I can see where the bikes would block visibility to the lower lights.
ManWithaVan, could the extra set of lights be fitted with the quick flash module? Also, on the 13 footer, are the stock side mirrors on the tow vehicle adequate for visibility? Towing with a Subaru Forester. Tony
Looks like you are talking about a 13' trailer. I don't think Scamp will put a second set of tail lights on a 13'. At least they would not in 2015 when I got my trailer.
You might also want to rethink putting bikes on the back of the trailer. Several threads have talked about the problems people have with trailer sway when they do that. Some have found a solution with a bike rack on the front frame. We ended up getting folding bikes we could fit in the tug. Best wishes on your trailer–you are going to love it.
Thank you for the information. I will call Scamp and ask them about the lights.
I am concerned about the bike rack and weight of the bikes causing trailer sway. Is there anyone out there who has a 13 footer with the bike rack that can address this issue? Thanks. Anthony
A 13' Scamp is really small, lightweight, and is very short in length. It doesn't take much weight on the back bumper to throw its balance off, which we found out the hard way! A bike rack on the front of the trailer will affect your tongue weight, so depending on the heft of your tow vehicle you might cause TV issues with that arrangement. Weight distribution is an issue with any type and size of trailer, and should always be kept in mind when loading up for a trip. I learned a lot towing various horse trailers with different vehicles...so many little variables that can make the difference between an enjoyable trip and a white-knuckle ordeal. Safety first!

My 13 foot has double tail lights, of course it is a 1999, so things could have changed.
