I have a standard 13' Scamp. I would like to replace the interior lights with LED's. The 2 reading lamps now have #1141 bulbs. I would like the LED's to be at least as bright as the filament bulbs. The 2 lamps in the kitchen have #921 bulbs. Should these LED's be warm white or bright white? Any information as to bulbs and venders would be greatly appreciated. We plan to start going dry camping and would like to reduce our electrical usage as much as possible.

LED's
Must people like the warm white about 3K in the main cabin. They have a slightly yellow tint. The 4k and above lights are brighter but have a blue tint to them. I use them in the bath and outside. I recently bought a trailer with 4K installed in every fixture. On top of that, after several hours segments would drop out. I have bought light off of E bay and had good luck with them but the lights in my trailers had issues I suspect they were cheaper lights. These light were recommended on another forum I bought the 3K's for the main cabin. They are enclosed in a plastic shell and can be used outside and in damp areas. So far they seem to be doing OK.

You should read through section 2 of our Solar Resource which covers LED lighting. This will answer many questions and give a good background for switching to LED lighting which is what I consider a must first step. I prefer a combination of warm and daylight, using daylight in kitchen, bath and some work lights. Temperatures are all personal preference so experiment around.
