Well, sadly our last trip has come and gone for our beloved Scamp. Friday, the 24th of October we headed to Kentucky Lake at Hillman Ferry campground. Weather was truly outstanding. The cool fall temps felt fantastic for dining outside and great sleeping. Hillman Ferry is one of the premier Campgrounds at Kentucky Lake. I also got my discount card upon checking in. When a fella is 62 ad older, for just $10.00 you can get a discount card for every national park in the U.S.! It provides for a $10.00 discount each night camping in ANY national park in the country ! We cooked outside, gathered around the campfire with some oak wood that burned forever. Nothing like a hot breakfast made in the morning, outside. The 2 most important items one can bing in a Scamp is a ceramic space heater, and a electric skillet! Both items are super useful when camping in the Scamp. Now this week I shall winterize the little Scamp and dream of our trips next year.
Last weekend, Winchester, VA.. Put her to bed til the Spring.

Yeah, we purshased ours so late in the year, and had so many plans made that we could not use it as much as we desired. So next year is the Scamp year! Tons of plans with the litttle guy!

Putting mine away for the winter in a friend's heated garage. Too bad my car has to stay outside in CO all winter!!
Lucky for you that you have such a place to,put your Scamp. I purchased a cover from Classic Accessories to at least cover it.

We're headed out tomorrow for Pensacola FL to watch the Blue Angels homecoming weekend. After that we have camping scheduled at 2 places in LA this month before we put our Scamp away for the winter (unless we take it to TX in December).
