installing a 12V water pump

I need anyones suggestions on replacing the hand pump with a switch controlled constant flow faucet . I'm sure some one has done this . Any help would be appreciated

1. best location for the pump ?

2. how to wire a separate circuit into the fuse box for the pump

Pump install

I am in the process of installing one now.

1. It's best to install it in front of the tank even though the tank outlet is on the rear of the tank. It needs to be accessible for winterization. I install a screen filter on the pump intake and a winterization kit in before of the screen so the filter also gets winterized.

2. The pump switch is best mounted on the end/side corner of the cabinet. The wires run around the outside wall of the trailer.(Follow the water lines to the other side.)

My new pump uses about 3.5 amps. Stranded 14-16 ga wires is fine for a dedicated circuit. You can buy jacketed two conductor wire which makes it much easier to manage when running the wires. The wire comes red and black or black and white conductors. The trailer wiring colors for 12 VDC is black and white  and the pump will be red and black.

I used a laundry faucet /sprayer from HD on my trailer sink installs. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Glacier-Bay-2-Handle-Pull-Out-Sprayer-Kitchen-Faucet-in-Chrome-JY5020364/203583195 Lifetime warranty.
