Anyone have a suggestion regarding the size generator for a 13 footer with AC?

Roof mounted RV unit?  Window

A big SOI welcome to the new online clubhouse!

Roof mounted RV unit?  Window unit mounted in the side or back of the trailer?  What BTU is the AC?  All questions that you'll need to know to make sure you get the right gen unit.

Over the years, one of the most popular generator for Molded Fiberglass Travel Trailers is the Honda EU2000I.  I've rarely if ever read any complaints on this unit.

I have a Honda 2000 mounted

I have a Honda 2000 mounted on the tongue of my 13 footer.  My A/c is in the closet and is 5950 BTU.   Most Fiberglass Rv'ers have the Honda 2000 no matter the size of their trailer.  I've only seen a very few people that see the need for a larger generator.  Just consider that you can't run everything at the same time such as the microwave while the A/c is on while using the coffee maker and the hair dryer, but that's no big deal.

The Honda 2000 will run most A/c's however it's the start amps that are important.  Takes more to start an A/c than run it.

It just struck me, Earl's got a Scamp 5'er and uses a Honda 2000, as do 99 % of Scampers who feel the need to have a generator.
