For a year of so I have been using my parked Scamp regularly, that is, making use of the lights, stove, and sink on a constant basis, with external water and electric supply.
What is the exact path of the water from the sink to outside? Is there a flow diagram of this 'path' available. I will try to trace that very soon.
My problem is that while the water into the sink is clear, the effluent from the plastic pipe on the back left is a brownish-yellowish color. I do not detect an odor. So it seems obvious that I need to clean out some pipes and/or vessels, but I do not know where the likely problem is, nor how to best clean it.
Advice on this matter would be much appreciated. Thanks.
This is the latest version of the sink trap and drain Scamp has used for years for the kitchen sink. Amazon.com: Camco Flexible Camper Drain Tap with Hose System for RVs Campers and Trailers, Easy Connection and Set Up (37420) : Automotive In the past Scamp has used a piece of water hose or clear plastic tubing as a drain hose. The Clear tubing will develop mold in the hose which will be visible. I'm sure the trap also has it's own culture growing. Give it a shot of bleach if it makes you feel better, It's just greywater. If you have a greywater tank no telling what is growing in the tank.

At least once each season I "dose" our fresh water tank with bleach. 1 cup of bleach for the 12 gallons of water. After a day or two I drain the bleach and water solution into a bucket and pour it into the sink. That way I am also "dosing" the sink trap, drain piping and the gray water tank. After a few days in the gray water tank I drain the bleach and water out and discard. Our sink trap and gray water tank seem to be fairly clean with no odors.
