Has anybody opted for one of these units instead of a normal 120V AC?
In a perfect world, I'd be able to get a few hours/day of AC use when boondocking (bedtime, possible leaving dog for an hour or two during daytime) and also be able to use shore power when we're at a campground with services.
I realize I'd have to add several lithium batteries somewhere to do this (probably build a box on the trailer tongue for them)?
Sort of contemplating one of the new Lite models, then I could add batteries up front, RTX to roof, and eventually (if needed) a water system. Or am I just over-complicating things and I should just order the standard Scamp and install the batteries + inverter for off-grid use?
