This is for those that are still using the original existing Scamp door latching system.
This new design/mod makes locking the Scamp entrance door faster and easier. This design/mod would probably take maybe ten minutes or so to mod and install.
This design/mod simply makes locking the door easier/faster.
It does NOT change the security of the original Scamp latching system.
And, it does NOT make your door anymore secure then it's original design.
My design/mod no-longer requires the locking pin and the holes to lock the door.
If you can push a button on your computer system to turn it on, than you should have no problem with this design.

Scott,
What's the info on the lock module and how is it attached?

This is w/out the key installed (normally you leave the key installed) to show where the hold down screw goes for securing the PUSH LOCK onto Scamps latching device. I first cut off one side of the PUSH LOCK and then drilled and tap threaded a hole and screwed it down to the latching device.
If I were really motivated (and had the tools), I’d move the PUSH LOCK squarely on Scamps latching device and tack weld it on (I believe that would it even make more secure).
This looks like a good idea for people who feel they need the added security over the pin lock. What does the PVC pipe thingy Do?
It's not an added security but instead simply replaces the (in search of) pin hole locking issue. As for the "What does the PVC pipe thingy Do?", click on this link...
