I removed a Delta antenna. I made a 3/16 aluminum plate to cover the hole. My trailer had the original manuals, the Delta manual contained a template for mounting the antenna which I used to make the cover. I then mounted another omni antenna on the plate. If you install a King Jack antenna they sell a plate to cover old large antenna mounting holes. The main trick to getting the Delta off is aligning the knob slots to undo the set screws that hold on the knob.
If the Delta antenna hole is not too large for the Jack antenna the rivet holes can be filled using the Marine Tex. Then you won't have to use the adapter plate. Both antennas use a roof mounted RF cable. The Jack can be modified to use a cabin RF cable.
I guess it's all a matter of personal preference but to me, camping is getting away from it all. Meaning no TV! If I feel I need to be entertained, I'll bring my Sirius/XM satellite radio. 100+ channels to choose from and all of them commercial-free.
I would also like to know if anyone has upgraded or modified the old antennas. Satellite perhaps? Removed altogether?

For newer Jack. They also have one for the earlier model Jacks.
Thanks Eddie. I've been looking a the King Jacks. I'm going to try it. Whats the best caulk for RV roofs?
Lexel, Dicor or 3M 5200.
Were these stock or an add-on? Used for Wi-Fi or actual TV viewing? Where in the trailer were they located?

Delta and King were both installed by Scamp. Mine is the currently installed King.
I think location depends on year and model.

I have to look at the antenna, but cant the existing cable be used for the King?
Your existing cable should work if it is long enough.
