Trip all the circuit breakers

Trip all the circuit breakers in the box to OFF, then back to ON. This happened to me, and one of the breakers was not fully seated to ON.

Agree

More than once, I have flipped a breaker to "On" only to find out that it was not totally engaged in the "On" position.  Some can be very tricky about how they sit.

No, a tripped circuit breaker

No, a tripped circuit breaker breaks the connection of numerous items. We had a breaker that was not fully seated in the connect position, and we had items in the Scamp that would not work.  Once we tripped it fully OFF and then back ON, it worked fine and no problems.

Dosen't work when on DC, everything works on AC

As we go along I find this more interesting. the fuses are GOOD. The BATTERIES are good (tried 2). When on AC all is well, the fuses on the inverter are GOOD. The 2 fuses coming in are GOOD. I know the breakers control AC , so all is well there, my thought is there must be a wire not connected. So as it is ZERO out today, this shall wait til a warmer day. I truely appreciate all the input and effort trying to help. thanks marty

I'll Ask

My husband works 3rd shift so is sleeping now but I will ask him to review this thread and see what he thinks as he might have some ideas.  Hopefully, warm weather will come your way soon as it will be in the 50's here in KS for 3 or 4 days, supposedly starting on Friday.

Meter

Hey Marty,

We need a meter reading at the converter with the AC unplugged for the DC line in to know if DC power is reaching the converter. If DC power shows on the in line, and since the fuses have all been verified, then we need a meter reading on the DC line out on the converter.

If DC isn't coming into the converter then your problem is tracing and reading the line from the converter back to the battery.

If DC is coming in and not going out, the DC 30a fuse is good, then the converter is bad on the DC side. Once we have that info, then you can move to the next step.

thanks

I shall try this, sounds like a great way to go at it. Kinda hard to get to converter. They certainly used all the space they had and put it in a very difficult spot. Warmer weather project, trying to get all the info i can.

Agreed

My husband read through the thread and said that Greg was on target with what he would say/do.
