Hi all - first off thanks for all the great answers on this site from you experienced Scamp owners, that has been amazing for me as I journey my road to owning a Scamp 13. Mine is on order for completion here in a couple of months - standard 13. My three little girls (ages 3, 3, and 6) are SO excited to take it out!
Anyhow, I have a 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer model 4X4 that will be my TV (it has the tow package from the factory). I am getting the electric brake option on my Scamp and want to know which brake controller to get. From a lot of reading here and on various other websites I want to go with some model of Tekonsha. The Scamp paperwork they sent with my order confirmation shows that they recommend the Primus IQ, but I've also seen a lot written by you all about the P2 or P3 models. I want something that will be easy for me to hook up myself, and then honestly money is not a concern, I've seen the prices of these and they are all reasonable so I just want to get the "best" - whatever that means. I'm also not sure if I need to purchase some kind of connecting cable or if that comes with the Tekonsha unit I purchase.
Any thoughts or opinions???
Thanks!

I'd probably go for the P2 or P3 since they last a long time generally and you might find you pull other trailers later.
For comparison on Amazon

Tekonsha P2. Tekonsha P3
Since you have the factory tow package it's pretty much plug n play.
Congrats on your soon to be Egg! We spent 5 years with our toddlers age 3 & 5 and did half the country in
a Scamp 13 till they didn't fit any longer. You'll love it.
