Bathroom in 16' Layout 4 without an integrated toilet? (With portable toilet?)

Bathroom in 16' Layout 4 without an integrated toilet? (With portable toilet?)

Hello there,

We have a 13' on order but hubby saw two 16' models and thinks the extra 3' would be handy with teens and grandchildren. I am curious to ask...does anyone have a side bathroom (layout #4) with just the shower and a portable toilet. Yes, I am THAT person who would rather forgo the tanks and tubes of a built-in toilet...but am wondering if a shower and portable toilet might be a nice combo...??

Just Porta-Potti

We ordered our Scamp 16 layout #4 in 2006 with only the room, to keep plumbing simple.  Portable toilet is fine for night time use.  Most campgrounds have decent showers and wet wipes are a suitable alternative.  We still enjoy using the trailer.

Without Bathroom

I also ordered my 2008 Scamp 16 without a bathroom.  I wanted more storage so put shelves in the closet.  I get along fine with a Porta-Potti.  My 16 does not have a gray tank so I catch water in a 5 gallon pail or put dishwater through the sink into a SmartTote, whichever is more convenient for dumping.  I can travel in cold weather without worrying about freeze-ups.
