I did a site search too but this didn't come up. Thanks for sending it to me.
Greg, you do such a nice job.
What a good idea to put the city water (very cold) near the faucet and pump the tank water (already warmer than city water) for the hot water faucet connection. What do you use to heat your hot water???
I've been thinking about a under the counter 110v tankless water heater. I know it won't be hot, it only heats the water 38 degrees. so having the water come from the, not-that-cold tank would help.Waterheater won't happen for a while..
Lis,Like Greg and Eddie say,the hot water heater isnt a needed thing, unless one is going to take showers.I have never used ours in our Casita,I carry a tea kettle, like Eddie and Greg say,its much easier to just warm up some water when you want it.Just saying it works fine for me this way
I took my Scamp and my two young dogs to a 5 day dog show at Canfield Ohio fairgrounds. I did ok with soap cool water and a facecloth, but it sure would have been nice to wash my hair
i wasn't to clear I heat water to wash dishes. If the need arises we would use the water heater.we usually find a campground with showers. I know our dog wouldn't like a cool bath no better then us lol
In a 13 Scamp if you don't have a bath with the shower, (I'm assuming you don't as you'd have all this already) I personally wouldn't fool with putting in a water heater. It complicates the plumbing from what I showed you which is really simple to install, and it's not really needed unless you have a shower. If you need some hot water, it's simpler and a lot less expensive to just to heat a pot on the stove and use that when needed.
We had four of us traveling half the country in a 13 Scamp years ago with two toddlers and never needed or missed hot water. We'd just stay at a KOA for a bit for showers when needed.
Oh, I wish I could have a shower in my Scamp!!! I'm going to Potstown and Blue Bell PA. in October for 6 days. I can only guess how cold the water tank will be. I was thinking I could have a tankless heater and pass a hose though the window to wash my hair with at least warm water and the white dogs legs too, before we go into a dog show building.
I know, I won't be doing it till spring, if then. Now, it's the water pump, city water inlet, all new braided water tubing, sink and faucet. that will keep me for a while.
It's been fun so far, to work on the Scamp this past year. I've made 13 modifications, some big some small. Took pictures of all or most. I'm sorry to say I can not share them them because the pic type is JPEG images. Don't know why that is, my old pic file had three letters. My daughter said "you cant change that".

Be careful Lis, that's how two foot-itis starts and you'll be looking for a 16 with a full bath.

Lis,
JPEG's upload fine and it's a very common format. Most of the pics I upload are JPEG or PNG and never had a problem unless they are too large.
