My biggest modification to date was the addition of an AM/FM/WX radio to the panel above the microwave cabinet in my 16-foot 2017 layout B.

I had been looking for a SMALL am/fm radio for some time when another Scamp owner asked, “why not use a boat radio?”

This was a long project and took lots of planning. Thankfully I have an inspection camera and could see inside through the microwave outlet hole to do the planning.

There are two antenna options, one is just a wire that hides next to the fiberglass body under the reflectix, the other is an outside RV antenna that I mounted on the back of the awning and ran the cable in next to the refrigerator vent. Remember that the vent must remain unmodified to get the combustion products out side the living area.
