I need some help with my 16 Deluxe microwave.
I have the front bath layout so the microwave from Scamp came installed above the refrigerator. The microwave bounced around enough to break off the front two plastic feet that sat in the wood trim work. The wood trim has snap caps which I am guessing hide the screws for that trim. My assumption is once I get the wood trim off I can lift the microwave out of the cabinet. Has anyone found a good solution to secure the microwave? Clearly whatever came from the factory isn't doing the trick and will need to be improved.

Ok, so the microwave is a cheap brand and doesn't appear to be anything special to an RV. It appears that getting new front feet is next to impossible. The snap caps on the wood trim did hide the underlying trim screws so taking the microwave out of the cabinet space was easy enough.
The fix?
(A) I ended up at one of the local auto parts stores and found a snap-in Jeep plastic trim insert was a close fit and became the new "front feet" for the microwave. I know it sounds very odd but anything plastic and the correct size really works as the feet are not visible once the unit is back in the cabinet.
(B) The scamp factory had added a rear aluminum angle bracket to keep the microwave from moving backwards. (The front feet keep the microwave from moving frontwards.) However, the microwave is much smaller than the cabinet space and jumps when going down the road as we bounce along. I created an aluminum brace that added dowward support to the inside top of the cabinet space. The microwave slides in and under this and is held down. (like someone holding their hand on the top so it can't bounce up.)
So adding new 'feet' and preventing it from bouncing seems to be the key to this fix. It took some imagination and careful measuring but was an easy fix. With the trim back on the front it looks like new. I think if the microwave were to stop working the space is large enough to accomodate an off the shelf model of similar size. I had hoped to find a little better design once I pulled the microwave out but you get what you get.
I use 1" black nylon strapping with a snap lock clip to secure the microwave. I secure the strap to the cabinet base and loop it over the top of the MV. The trick is having enough room to get your hand into the cabinet to lock the snap lock clip. I get mine from my local ACE.

I thought about some kind of strap but the cabinet space Scamp supplies is tight at the opening although the interior space is much larger. Apparently they counted on the decorative trim you put back around the microwave post installtion to hold it steady. That might work if the back side of the microwave didn't have so much extra room to bounce around. Having added the angle bracket at the back and top hold down bracket on top hopefully will keep it steady. We have a two day trip set for next week and this will be a good test.
We didn't get the "Scamp" microwave and just bought one from Lowe's (where we also bought the refrigerator). Scamp gave us the empty space and the electrical outlet. Taking a cue from what other folks have done, I installed a couple of eye hooks and one of those flat rubber straps that fits fairly tightly over the microwave. The compartment has carpet in it and so far it seems that the combination of carpet and strap is holding things in place. Of course, we haven't gone "off road" yet, but then some of our WV back roads are nearly the same.
yea, I should have added the non-slip surface to mine but didn't think about it until I had it back in the cabinet and mounted again.
