The lifetime Senior Pass to the National Parks for those 62 and older is going to have a big price increase from $10 to $80 in 2017.

They don't know the date yet for the increase, but anyone currently 62 or older that doesn't have this needs to buy it now.
You can buy it at any National Park or online. If you buy it online there is a $10 processing fee that makes the pass $20.
SOI recommends that all members who are eligible get the Senior Pass ASAP.
Good post, Greg, thanks. It has been the best of deals ever, I think.

A friend of mine bought one a couple of weeks ago at Shenandoah National Park. They were told that the pass was going up to $80 as of Jan 1, 2018. While I cannot gaurantee this is fact, it is what that particular ranger said a couple of weeks ago. My point, even if you are not eligible right now, do not delay getting it as soon as you are eligible, the bargain price is not lasting too much longer.
Im not eligible till May of 18.
Oh well, still a bargain at $80 for life. Again everyone that qualifies to get this for $10 needs to do it ASAP.
