Can anyone tell me how long the electrical cord is on a Scamp trailer. We haven't had it out camping yet, but tried to take a look in the driveway yesterday. Seems the electrical connection is only about 1 1/2 feet long. Didn't want to yank on it to see if it was just stuck, or if that's all there is. Do we need to be parked that close to the electrical hookup?

"Newby" question - electrical
OK...it was stuck. My only excuse is that tents don't have power cords, so I had no idea what was standard. We just needed to actually pull on it, and wow! We got 15-20 ft of cord! I'm sure this won't be the last really stupid question I ask on this forum...

Glad you figured it out, and welcome to the clubhouse. About 20 feet should be right. The pull out cords getting tangled and stuck is one of the reasons folks do the detachable power cord mod.
No dumb questions here, ask away. You might also want to glance through the table of contents at the top of the Maintenance and Mods forums. Lots of good basic info to be found there.

My chord every once and a while will loop over the power box and hang up. So don't yank too hard, go in and look under the seat and unhook it.
