Well, since no one has answered the size question yet, I went out and measured mine. Make note, I have a 1999 13 foot, so pre-fire, plus mine does not actually have a toilet and shower, but it does have the privacy room. I believe the dimensions are very similar to a new 16 foot, but cannot guarantee that.
I measured just the raised portion of the floor, where the toilet would sit.
It is, when looking from what would be the front of the toilet:
2ft deep
2ft wide at front
17" wide at rear (due to the curvature of the front wall of the trailer itself)
Hope this helps. I believe that most any composting toilet meant for boats or RVs would fit. One thing to consider, Nature's Head and Sun-Mar both have side mounted cranks. C-head's have a top mounted crank, so may fit better.
Thank you for doing the measurements for me. Most appreciated. I have compared specs, and believe Nature's Head will fit. Will look at others you mentioned. Thanks again.
We have a 13' Std. and we travel with a C-Head composting toilet. It works very well for us. The crank drops into the top of the unit and the fluid is collected in a gallon milk jug. We carry an extra jug so that we can dump and discard at our leisure. There is at least one video of the C-Head on YouTube.
I'm not sure if this is helpful but thought I'd put it here if it can be... I've modified my 13' Scamp over a year ago. It's worked/been great! It now has only ONE (1) outlet... I no longer find any undesirable surprises in the dump hose anymore. Click on this: 13' Scamp Camper combined Black and Grey water tank outlet.
