We just picked up our brand new 2016 Scamp yesterday in Backus just wondering if anyone has had issues with the refrigerator cooling down for first time. We have been dealing with this since yesterday scamp keeps saying if chimney is hot it is working! Any tips or tricks we might be missing?

Have you tried it both on Electric and Propane? It does take overnight usually to cool down.
I'd recommend you get fridge thermometer so we can get some temperature readings.

Well we took it back to Evelands and turns out it was a bad refrigerator so they put a new one in! Don't know what anyone else's experiences are with that place but they were rude to us. Surprising that you spend 19,000 on their product and not one apology for the extra trip, food that spoiled etc. absolutely no customer service really makes us rethink this purchase!
Sorry to hear of your bad experience getting your fridge issue resolved. I totally agree with you that you shouldn't have the kind of experience you did, that's a shame. I hope now that all is working you can go out and enjoy the trailer and put this in the rear view mirror.
