My 1999 16' Scamp came with just one door key. I would like to get one or two duplicates. I've been to two hardware stores, and neither one had the correct blank. Is this generally a problem? I had the thought that maybe I could order a blank from Scamp and get it cut, but it's a part that's listed in the Parts Store.
What experience have others had?
We have a True Value store very near us and they made keys for ours...worked great!

We have had keys made for our 2015 Scamp at a local hardware store. Scamp uses a rather simple door lock so I would not think getting keys would be a problem. Are the locks different now then they were in 1999? You might try the lock company if you can get the name of the company from Scamp.
Try a real locksmith,. they usually have key blanks that the hardware stores do not carry.

I had to wait until I made a trip to a bigger town, but I found a Simmons lock shop, and they copied the door key, no problem.
