As the Scamp Camp Organizer of Scamp Camp Far West and Second in Command at the Quartzsite Gathering Scamp Camp, Earl knows what he's talking about. They are pretty easy to put on and great fun. Doug, you don't need the Bride to run a Scamp Camp. I host Scamp Camp SW and The Quartzsite Gathering and while the Bride helps tremendously preparing ahead I go setup and run both of these Scamp Camps quite a bit ahead and the Bride and Quartzsite kids come up Friday night after school and join in.
So let us know when you're ready to go and we'll help you out setting one up. There are tons of molded fiberglass travel trailers in your area, you could just announce one in the fall right at a campground near you and the Bride can run over after work.
I would be so nervous, being my first Scamp Gathering. When Dawn retires, I am going to begin a major Midwest gathering. We so need this for those in the " middle". I have 3 years to plan it, and make it happen. I so want it to be a big success too. I have what I think good ideas, but still need Dawn's full attention and support. She must be retired like me to make this happen, and it will.
