stove grease guard worth $70?

Has anyone found the $70 stove grease splatter guard useful in protecting the walls or not really necessary?

I think most folks cook

I think most folks cook outside, I know we do. Still, I would not let $70.00 get in my way. The Scamp cost far outweighs just $70.00 for a guard. For me, I would get almost every option the factory would offer. You will live with the Scamp a long time, and those options make life so much nicer. We now have them all on our beautiful Scamp 16.

Agree with Doug

I agree with Doug that most folks cook outside. So with that being the case you would not need the backsplash.

We have it in ours, and if I could have had it removed I would of.

Get every thing you can from the get go...it is much more difficult to add later.

You will enjoy it.

I don't cook inside, and I

I don't cook inside, and I ordered it with mine and I like it. Command hooks attach well to it, it reflects the light better easier to clean than the rat fur, I use the sink for a number of things I think the backsplash helps keep things dry if I splash.

We cook inside.

We do cook inside.  It is good to have the backsplash, it's an easy thing to clean.  We don't do fancy meals, as we travel light.  It is nice to pull off the road and enjoy something hot.  All the clean bright surfaces make our little 13' airy and roomy looking.
