If you have what is known as the elephant hide interior, the Kills paint is best for covering old stains and dirt. A dead axle is when you see very little of the tire when viewed from he side. It will also bottom out as you tow. How far are you from the factory in Backus MN? Just $550.00 done there! What year is your Scamp?
Sorry to tag on here, but Doug I have a question. We happened to be in Backus today visiting Jim, and as we were leaving we noticed a camper that seemed to be riding higher than most. In short I saw quite a bit of the tire from the side. Is this the fix for the dead axle, or is there is a customized adjustment being reflected? Barb
16's sit higher than 13's, not sure why. Our 2008 still sits high on it's axle, as I sit it up on jacks each winter for storage. Prolongs the life of the axle.
I was thinking kills to cover ugly then coming back with a color and yes it has elephant covering. I do not have dead axle fortinately but it is a 1973 model and I am a lonf way from MN probably about 1000 miles. Thanks for the info.
If your color is not too bold you can have Kilz tinted to your final color. If you choose a bold color the Kilz can be tinted to 50% of the final color so you will only need one final coat.
