I used 3/4" for both the closet shelves and the bunk beds!  It is supporting my daughter fine on the upper bunk so I'm sure it will be more than sufficient for the closet shelves.

Please post ur project with pictures as you proceed so we can see how it turns out and the process you go through.  Any questions as you proceed post them up.  I'll be here all weekend installing my new allure flooring and blinds in the Escape.

Closet shelf

I added a shelf using the 3/4" PVC. None of the pieces are glued together and don't seem to need be. The curve and bow of the side wall made it interesting to say the least. I put caps on the top of the posts for looks but can be poped off it I decide to add another shelf.

Now to camp a few times and come up with more stuff. I replaced the bulbs with LED and I want to do the tail lights. Since it is new it has the rectangle tail lights an finding the size and width I want isn't that easy untill I remove one to see the mounting hole locations. I don't feel like drilling new holes and filling in the originals.

Thanks for the shelf tips.

Adding LED Lights

With regard to your replacing the existing lights with LEDs; instead of replacing the light fixture you can simply change the bulbs. There are now LED replacement lamps for most automotive bulbs. You can find several choices at the auto parts store or check online. I have purchased LEDs from BangGood.com twice, they have a wide selection and good prices on LED lamps. The only issue is that your order ships directly from China and you need to be patient about receiving your order.

As Always,

Happy Scamping !!!

Nice work

Looks great!  I like how you built it with the capability to easily add a second shelf if wanted later.

My shelves have been camping in all kinds of road conditions and are holding up great.
