We are going to be doing some floor repair on our 19 (not deluxe). We will need to remove the front bench, shower, and kitchen cabinet all along the road side of the trailer. This is my first time doing floor repair so I figure it will take a few days. But, I only have a week, so I'll be putting these structures back by the end of the week come hell or high water.
Do I need to support the shell of the camper while I'm doing this to prevent deformation of the shell? Will I have a hard time getting the shower to fit if I don't brace the shell in some way?
Any other help or words of wisdom always appreciated!
Also, I read Kamper Bob's site on how to do floor repairs so much I saved a link, but now his hosting seems to have gone down. Did anyone cache a copy?

So, after talking to Eddie I decided to give it a shot. As soon as we moved the shower you could see the ceiling shift. we grabbed a jack and 2x4 and braced the roof to get the shower out. The bottle jack drooped over night so we got a longer 2x4 and placed a short bit of 2x6 top and bottom to distribute the load. That lasted through repairing the floor and getting the cabinet and shower back into place.
I understand that if you don't have an AC this may not be a big deal, but with the AC I think it is critical. We even brought the bottle jack back to push it a bit higher when we put the shower back in.
Oh, and just for the record: replacing the floor in these things is awful. I feel like what we have is now better than when it left the factory, but it was a horrible few days of work.
And finally, I put in a call to Scamp about this and a few other issues. I'll let you know if I ever hear back.
