Sounds like you will have a really great trailer. One more option to consider, a grey water tank. Without a grey water tank you will have to carry a container to catch your grey water, either a sewer tote or 5 gal container, one more thing to deal with in a S-13. The national parks and forest are really big on making sure your grey water is captured if not you get a ticket. You can either dump your grey water at a CG or at home with a water hose in the shrubs. For me it is just two less thing to deal with the tank and a short hose. For about $200 it's not a bad deal IMO. If you do decide to get a tank don't let Scamp mount the sewer hose tube to the front of the shell.
Eddie - Thanks, I did add the grey water tank too, it was $135. Wayne at Scamp also spoke of the gray water tank being a requirement at some campgrounds. I also forgot to write that we got the propane gauge (we are going with one tank), stove cover and extra 12V lights. It is the standard model with the package. Should be great.
Could you elaborate on why the tube should not be mounted on the front of the 13 footer? Is there a preferred location for the sewer hose tube? Is there a better way to store it?
2. Leaves and dirt collect between the shell and tube.
3. After about 2 years the tube starts turning yellow. I end up painting them white to make them presentable.
4. It will only hold a 10 ft. hose and it will not store your sewer hose cone.
5. If you later want to add a bike carrier or generator rack up front it gets in the way.
I usually mount a 5"x5" plastic fence post just behind the grey water tank. The hose holder is located next to the tank outlet which is handy. It will hold a 15' Rhino hose and cone end. When painted black it is hardly noticeable.
Yes, our front hose container did in fact yellow. It was easy to mask off and spray paint, came out great. It DOES hold a 15 ft Rino hose no problem. I bought 2 of them and the container holds the 15 easily. I threw away the hose the Scamp came with, junk.
With no bathroom, the only water to drain is the kitchen sink.
We found a small plastic "jerry can" (actually, this is our second one) that fits between the outside fiberglass body and the trailer frame below the sink area under the floor. Our "grey water tank" holds about 2 gallons, and is held in place by two rubber straps. The tube from the sink feeds into a 1/2" hose (it's a very tight fit) which is inserted deeply down the spout of the "jerry can."
Yes, one of us does have to lay on the ground to dump it. But it is a simple process to remove the straps, drop the "jerry can" to the ground, and pull the tube from the spout. Typically, we empty the contents (which is "grey water") down a toilet.
How was the introduction to your new Scamp? How was your trip home? We ordered a new one last August for a April pick up. We would like to learn from whatever experience that you recently had with the factory. We desperately want a good experience.

1. You add 4 more rivet holes.

Eddie,
Thank you, that is information that we newbies need. It is still not too late to modify our order.

Heading up tomorrow friday 1-1-2016 to pick up on Saturday 1-2-2016. We are staying tomorrow night at the Woods in Baxter,
It's a 7.5 hour drive. Should be fun.
