The axle I bought from Scamp has a 3" riser with it. The also included square tube adapters to weld under the frame. The tubes are what the axle brackets are welder to. The folks at Scamp were kind enough to explain how to locate the new axle on the frame. The explanation was simple and very logical. BTW, it came with brake assemblies. I also bought an entry step, with a new axle and risers the threshold will be several inches taller.
One of my friends will be welding the axle on. I doubt that I get any photos of the installation, I will be vigiant with a water hose in my hands.
I think that by being there (at the factory) I got information that I could not have gotten on the phone. If you would email me your phone number I will talk to you in person about the installation once I have it complete
I had one of the local welding shops install the new axle with 3" risers. It looks much better and I believe it tows better. I glad that I bought a new step assembly while we were at the factory, it has been installed also. It wasn't all that difficult.
After completion, the welder said that he would be willing to install another one.
