Smoky Mountains

Having a great time in the Smoky Mountains! Hiked to a waterfall today, drive completely through the Smokies and found other trail heads for more hiking. Tomorrow is a 5 hour train ride through the Smoky Mountains from North Carolina into Tennessee and back to North Carolina. Hiking all day the day after. Texas Stampede was very much fun. Hatfield and McCoys the next night. The park is beautiful no matter where one points themselves. Scamp is parked at Smoky Bear Campground and it is very nice. Our Scamp is garnering plenty of attention too! What a great vacation! Crowds are down, and traffic is not bad at all.

Smokies -

Sounds like you're having a wonderful trip.  Looking forward to some pictures.  Do you have enough time to see some of the B lue Ridge Parkway?

Cades Cove

Visit the circular drive tour through Cade's Cove. A delightful drive near the North (TN) entrance. Been there 3 times but not since 1988. First time, on our honeymoon in 1958.

Cade's Cove

We made that drive last Sunday. It was fun, the old homes were neat to see.
