The Scamp hose has 2 hook

The Scamp hose has 2 hook type clips, the the Rino Flex hose has 4. Much more secure connections. We ultimately threw  away the hose the Scamp came with. It got disconnected while dumping and made a mess. We get our disposable gloves from the dollar store, and always use them. The Rino Flex hose now fits in the tube the old inferior Scamp hose rested in. Get the Rino Flex hose and be assured of better hose connections.

With my 5th wheel, and it is

With my 5th wheel, and it is probably the case with the 13 and 16, I drive up so the wheel lines up with the drain and then the stinky slinky reaches  both black water connection and the grey water connection without moving the rig. First dump the black, have the DW flush a lot of water to clean it some. Then connect the grey tank and wash the slinky with the sink suds and shower water (more suds). While it is draining I shake the hose to make sure stuff moves along. Then I rinse it some with the provided water hose. I can usually keep one foot on the slinky close to the dump drain and reach the gate valve to open. Sometimes it is a stretch, but I do that instead of yoga! I made an oversize storage for the slinky from a drain pipe and a slinky carrier cut in half, hanging down under the floor. That way it does not require it to be squeezed, and when using, I do not have to stretch it as much. As far as gloves go, I use a big insulated pair. It is great on cold days during our spring or fall trips. I rinse the gloves and store them under a false floor in the shower.

That false floor (1/4 inch plywood with ribs and foam tape to protect the shower enclosure) kind of takes the throne down a notch for greater comfort and it gets lifted out when showering.

Shower Floor

Hey all, Bed Bath and Beyond sells teak shower floor inserts. Does require a tiny bit to be trimmed off each end to fit. Worked out great. Just $39.95 and 20% off coupons take it down even more! Who goes there without coupons!

Not sure about your floor but

Not sure about your floor but my 16 required 1/4 inch to be cut from each end. Take out the rubber feet and screws prior to trimming.

19D bathroom comfort

I mentinoed (in #16) the false floor in my Scamp shower - it is not a shower floor mat to create no slip surface. Rather, it raises the floor to the level of the black water tank, which is about 6 inches above the lowest part of the shower. It makes the height difference more normal. (That is floor to the seat.) It is a great improvement in comfort. It happens to be 22.5 x 27.5 inches. Has anybody done anything like it here?
