Our new to us 2012 16ft has an electric tongue jack, but it is bent so the front foot has never sat level. Planing on going back to a manual crank jack, any preference or experience with any particular brand. Thanks Bob

Tongue Jack
We have the jack that was installed at the factory. Only real issue is, even when the jack is cranked all the way up, it still hangs low enough that when i pull out of the drive way and go down a slight dip the foot scrapes on the pavement. However, I have the 13 ft model and i think the 16 ft may have a higher clearance.

It sounds like your Tow Vehicle is dropping too low when you add the weight of the trailer. You might look into adding "Helper" springs or air bags to your Tow Vehicle to lift the rear end.
Happy Scamping !!!
As Always,
Happy Scamping !!!
Found an Atwood manual front crank to replace the previous power jack, works great and now my footing on the ground lays flat.
Man with a van, thanks for help, I will keep the low clearance in mind in the future, I have a Toyota Tundra and my height looks good, but there are dips you could get caught on. I think the previous owner put this slightly bent electic Jack on the trailer, as it has been this way since we got the trailer last year.
