We remove the carpeted floor to shower and place it in the aisle if we need to shower. Most of the time we just use the campsite showers. I think your idea of a teakwood floor is a good one, especially if it was one that could be simply folded aside when showering.
The main reason we added the floor is that it makes it easier to use the toilet which we use a lot for #1 only.
I plan on keeping the teak floor in the shower all the time. Being coved with spar varnish, it will simply resist water staying On it. It will cover only 1/2 off of the floor, near the potty for elevation in using it. Other shower floor will be normal for showering. We use the potty exactly for what it was I intended for!
