Festival of Lights Schedule

Schedule of Events for the Saturday, Dec 13th Festival of Lights at Tlaquepaque, near our SW Scamp Camp Campground.  Our personal favorite is the River of Life Tabernacle Choir, which performs 5:30-7:30.  The steel drums from 4:00-8:00 are great as well. And you can't miss the lighting of the 6,000 luminarias at 5:00!

11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.Ron Tolson and Bryan Pace perform in the Chapel. (the chapel is very small.  If you want to attend a chapel event you will have to come early.)
2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sherry Finzer Flutist will perform in Chapel.
3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Santa Claus will be in Del Norte while Tom and Shondra Jepperson entertain with holiday songs.
3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Ritmo Latino will perform in Patio de las Campanas.
4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Paul McDermand will perform on steel drums in Patio de las Rosas.
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Jonathan Levingston, award winning violinist, will perform in the Chapel.
5:00 p.m. Everyone joins in lighting the 6000 luminarias.
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Enjoy the amazing performance of the River of Life Tabernacle Choir in Plaza de la Fuente.
6:00 to 8:00 p.m. You 'll be dancing and singing with the Swingtips in Patio del Norte.
6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Listen to jazz rhythms with The Giant Steps Jazz Combo in Patio de las Campanas.

Free Apple Cider for all!

You can ride the free trolley from the Uptown Municipal Parking lot to Tlaquepaque with continuous service from 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm. For additional information please call (928) 282-4838.

Great Sedona Scampin

Hey Everyone that Scamped (or otherwise) in Sedona,

Cathy and I had a great time. Definitely wish we could have socialized more. Sad we missed some of you before leaving. We took a ride all the way around Schnebly Hill to get some orange mud on the truck.

We really enjoyed the tours and appreciated the good conversation and tips. Thanks for the great cookbook and fun buttons. Can't wait to do it again next year but hopefully we can see some of you before then.

Thanks again,

Eric & Cathy

Scamp Camp SW Recap

Great time in Sedona, AZ for Scamp Camp SW.

While it is the 45 days of Arizona winter, the big front from CA rolled in Friday night and really cut loose with some rain. Everyone got to find out exactly where or if they had any leaks on their trailers. laugh The rain seemed to come and go on Saturday, but cooperated to allow the trailer tours, informal Scamping seminar, and the Christmas events at Tlaquepaque to go as planned. The music and Christmas festivities were very enjoyable as always.

Some early socializing on Friday.

How about an impromptu Scamp Camp Hoe Down!

L to R: Larry on Washtub Base, Jackie on Guitar, Colleen on Uke, and Pete on Guitar!

Some of the trailers:

L to R: Casita Liberty Deluxe, Scamp 16, Brand New Scamp 16

Scamp 5th Wheel, Escape 17

81 13 Scamp

13 Uhaul

16 Scamp

Brand New Lil Snoozy

Scamp 16, Scamp 13

Trailer Tours were very enjoyable and all trailers were open to see....

How-to-Scamp Seminar with two arrivals who are trailer shopping and drove up for the tours and seminar.

Jerry & Katy enjoying the Christmas events

Colleen is lighting the Luminaries!!

Great time with a terrific group of SOI Members and another really terrific Scamp Camp SW. If you attended I'm certain you left in the Holiday mood!!

Thanks to all who attended and made this a really fun event, we'll see many of you I hope at the Quartzsite gathering in February

See you next year at Scamp Camp SW 2015!

Enjoyed The Photos

I enjoyed the photos.  Maybe some day we'll be taking our own.  AZ is such an experience for those that haven't been there.  We spent 6 years in the Tucson area and once drove through Flagstaff with a U-Haul that leaked and it was pouring rain, pouring.  Never went back to the northern part and avoided it on trips through the area after that.
