Our 2007 13' dinette/bed cushions have developed a moldy smell. The covers were replaced ~ five years ago, the age of the foam is unknown. Although there is no evidence of water contact, we find condensation on the table top in the morning. In other words, vapor is passing through from us to the table top below. We plan to clean the covers, but would appreciate information on how to do that - dry clean, tumble washing machine? Should we put down a vapor barrier sheet before making up the bed? Any advice will be welcome.

I would replace the foam.
Many thanks for your comment mccownw, it gives us confidence in the direction that we are looking. We are considering replacing the foam with three layers of different firmness to avoid "bottoming out" before dawn. RJB

In our 16 foot Scamp, we need to crack a small window, use the Maxxfan, or something. These are small and seal up nicely, or too nice... that's just with 2 adults and 1 large dog.

RJB :Excellent decision...to eliminate smell and improve comfort!
Carl: Yes, even a little ventilation (by opening a window) can considrably reduce "sweating."
