Rhino portable tank issue

We usually camp 3 nights within driving distance from home, so manage to not fill our gray & black tanks & just dump at the dump station. We just returned from 5 nights with no hook ups and only cold showers available (brrrrrr) so we used our shower sparingly. We have a Rhino auxiliary tank that we carry empty on a small ATV hitch platform on the back hitch. This was our first time needing to dump the gray tank into the Rhino. When we went to hook up the Rhino, we realized that the input of the Rhino is about the same level as the dump valve on the Scamp. We were able to get a small amount out, but definitely couldn't empty the entire tank. We were on a pretty level site, and there was no downhill area to move the Rhino to. Considering that the tank itself is above the dump valve, we expected more to empty. We considered a possible airlock, but the exhaust valve on the Rhino was open, and the sink stopper was out. Fortunately, we were able to get enough out to continue use, but are puzzled why we couldn't get a complete emptying. I'm going to buy a longer hose for for the Rhino to have more options, but even with that, I don't think on a level site, we would still be able to empty our gray tank. We didn't try the black tank as it didn't need emptying until we left. I'd hope we get more gravity assistance. We are going to try it out before we winterize. Anyone have success with a portable tank? Any thoughts/suggestions?

That is a challenge. But if

That is a challenge. But if the "slinky" is long enough, you could let it fill up, then lift it starting near the tank until its contents flow into the Rhino. Then repeat as needed. Do a "slinky wave".

Slinky wave

Good suggestion.  Like the "Worm" dance move!  On further thought, if I buy an extension for the Rhino hose, I have the issue of storing it.  Rather than try to mount a new hose storage, I think I'll just buy these bags.

yes i have the same tank and

yes i have the same tank and have to manually life the slinky to get stuff into the Rhino.  There is a Low Profile Thetford tank that is lower to the ground so might be able to fit underneath, i am going to look into getting that one.
