I'm trying to figure out a way to improvise on organizing the pantry/cupboard in our 13' Scamp. What we currently have is very flimsy lightweight cardboard affixed upon PVC pipe. However, it is not sturdy and can't hold much weight. We use that cupboard for our food - so I'm looking for a way to store/organize that space. We've considered just stacking plastic tubs but the bottom of the closet/cupboard is not flat - the flooring is pretty steeply slanted. Ideas? We are reluctant to drill into the sides because it's thin and we worry we'd damage the fiberglass.
Your pvc organizer looks nice. I think you could make shelves from 1/2 inch plywood or 1/2 inch birch plywood (Lowes, Home Depot), which would match the birch used in Scamps, and screw the plywood to the pvc pipe. I think that would make your frame much more stable and maybe good enough for what you might need.
the previous owner of our scamp drilled holes into the sides and put up metal shelves that hold our pots and pans and dishes/etc. if they hadn't done that i don't know what i'd do. it's tough to find something that will fit in there. i wish Scamp manufactured or sold something that was an easy in, it would be a big seller for them.
